Trade Policy Internships
Interns for the Progressive Policy Institute have the unique opportunity to assist and to support research for a new public philosophy of innovative solutions, progressive ideals, and nonbureaucratic governance that span a number of disciplines. The focus of an intern's work will vary with each discipline's current concentration.
Trade Policy interns work with director of PPI's Trade & Global Markets Project. Responsibilities include:
- Conduct research on trade and the global economy and the effect of trade on international and domestic actions and policy
- Help compile the "Trade Fact of the Week"
- Assist with the planning and implementation of working groups and Capitol Hill briefings
- Maintain and update database contacts for the project
- Assist with administrative/general office duties
To apply for an internship, please fill out our internship application form and e-mail your cover letter, resume, and a short writing sample (2 to 5 pages) to internships@dlcppi.org.
Deadlines for applications are rolling except for summer. Please submit summer applications by March 1st. Applicants must be 18 years or older to participate in the DLC-PPI internship program. While all internships are unpaid, the DLC/PPI offers its interns a $40/month public transportation subsidy.
No phone calls please. Due to the number of applications, only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
