Health Care Policy Internships
Interns for the Progressive Policy Institute have the unique opportunity to assist and to support research for a new public philosophy of innovative solutions, progressive ideals, and nonbureaucratic governance that span a number of disciplines. The focus of an intern's work will vary with each discipline's current concentration.
Health Care Policy interns will:
- Research current health policy issues such as Medicare, Medicaid, the quality of care, and the uninsured
- Examine government health-related spending and regulations for the Health Priorities Project
- Research and summarizing health policy literature and legislation
- Assist with ongoing projects as needed
To apply for an internship, please fill out our internship application form and e-mail your cover letter, resume, and a short writing sample (2 to 5 pages) to internships@dlcppi.org.
Deadlines for applications are rolling except for summer. Please submit summer applications by March 1st. Applicants must be 18 years or older to participate in the DLC-PPI internship program. While all internships are unpaid, the DLC/PPI offers its interns a $40/month public transportation subsidy.
No phone calls please. Due to the number of applications, only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
