Energy and Environmental Policy Internships
Interns for the Progressive Policy Institute have the unique opportunity to assist and to support research for a new public philosophy of innovative solutions, progressive ideals, and nonbureaucratic governance that span a number of disciplines. The focus of an intern's work will vary with each discipline's current concentration.
Energy and Environmental policy interns will:
- Help assess the current effectiveness of environmental and natural resources laws
- Conduct research to support the development of a second generation of environmental protection policy
- Assist with the planning and implementation of Advisory Group meetings and policy workshops on Capitol Hill
- Keep database contacts and archived materials for the project up-to-date
- Attend hearings on Capitol Hill on topics of relevance
- Assist with administrative/general office duties
To apply for an internship, please fill out our internship application form and e-mail your cover letter, resume, and a short writing sample (2 to 5 pages) to internships@dlcppi.org.
Deadlines for applications are rolling except for summer. Please submit summer applications by March 1st. Applicants must be 18 years or older to participate in the DLC-PPI internship program. While all internships are unpaid, the DLC/PPI offers its interns a $40/month public transportation subsidy.
No phone calls please.
Due to the number of applications, only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
